LMT FETTE:  "Thread Rolling in Seconds"

Chipless thread fabrication with a thread rolling head has a whole range of advantages: the finished surfaces are smooth and have increased strength; the material fibers remain unbroken. Because no chips are created, thread rolling naturally saves on material. Almost all standardized or special threads – from cylindrical and tapered triangular threads, through trapezoidal, round and semi-round threads to cylindrical wood threads and even buttress threads – can be rolled with a thread rolling head.

LMT Fette has pushed the technological advances of this thread rolling method forward since the 1950s. A Fette thread rolling head can be used in a wide range of positions on almost any cutting machine. According to the design, a thread rolling head can be mounted on the saddle slide, cross slide, turret or spindle head of lathes, machining centers and rolling machines.

LMT FETTE THREAD ROLLING SYSTEMS

Types F, FU, F-RN, K Die Heads

• Unlimited profile length rollable, workpiece stationary or rotating
• Machining range 1.4 - 230 mm Ø
• For plain turning slide, turret, spindle nose and tailstock units
• Can be used on conventional lathes, automatic single and multispindle and also turret lathes

Type AC Die Head

• Unlimited profile length rollable, also between turning centers
• Machining range 8 - 72 mm Ø
• For plain turning slide, turret and cross slide rest units
• Can be used on CNC and NC lathes

Type C Die Head

• Profile length of up to 39 mm
• Also rollable are threads behind a collar, with a very short thread runout plus extremely short threads
• Machining range 5 - 36 mm Ø
• For plain turning slide, turret and cross slide rest units
• Can be used on ordinary lathes, automatic single and multispindle and also turret lathes

Type E Die Head

• Profile length of up to 39 mm
• Also rollable are threads with a very short thread runout plus extremely short threads, the workpiece either stationary or rotating
• Machining range 3 - 45 mm Ø
• For plain turning slide, turret, spindle nose and tailstock units
• Can be used on conventional lathes, automatic single and multispindle and also turret lathes

Type T Die Head

• Profile length of up to 39 mm
• Also rollable are threads behind a collar, with a very short thread runout plus extremely short threads
• Machining range 1.6 - 80 mm Ø
• For cross slide rest and turret units
• Can be used on automatic single and multispindle and also turret lathes
