Chasers for Geometric Style Die Heads
Quality chasers
for Geometric style die heads are available in several configurations.
The cutting edge grinds or hook angles vary depending upon the
type of material that the chaser will cut. The chart on our website
lists our recommendations for cutting various materials. The standard
chamfer angle is 33 degrees on regular style chasers and 45 degrees on
projection style. This chamfer angle may be changed to suit the job,
since tool life will be greatly enhanced by lengthening the chamfer and
spreading the cutting load over a larger area of the chaser

Chasers for Geometric Style Tap Heads
In addition to American
Standard Pipe Threads, we also manufacture tap chasers in Unified
National (UN), Metric, Acme, British Pipe Tapered and British Pipe
Straight. The threads on all of our tap chasers are CNC Thread Ground
to provide the best product possible. It is critical that we know the
material to be threaded in order to provide the proper radial or
"circular" clearance. You will find our recommendations for
circular clearances and cutting edge geometries in the chart on our
website. The standard chamfer angle is 33 degrees on regular style
chasers and 45 degrees on projection style. This chamfer angle may be
changed to suit the job, since tool life will be greatly enhanced by
lengthening the chamfer and spreading the cutting load over a larger
area of the chaser.

Chasers for Cleveland Style / H&G Style Die Heads
Our insert chasers are
manufactured from premium grade M2 steel. We also offer these chasers
made from premium grade M-42 high-speed steel. As with our other DIE
HEAD chasers, the thread forms of our inserts are milled prior to heat
treat with CNC thread ground milling cutters made in our own
thread grinding department. This process provides consistant and very
accurate threads on the final cut part.

now available to our customers. These high-quality Shell type cutters are
form-relieved and may be sharpened by grinding the straight or spiral gash
of the cutters - without changing their form. They can be supplied with
special thread forms as well as most of the common thread forms listed in
the Thread Form Symbols chart on the Download page
on our website.
